I have been writing poetry almost since I was a kid.  I write mostly for myself, but have also participated in local writers groups off and on, and have enjoyed their camaraderie and critiques.

Many of my poems are personal, stemming from events in my own life, or from observations and reflections. I do not place much emphasis on poetic forms and rules, but on emotional honesty, verbal precision, and simplicity. I have not tried to be a poet. Merely, I have observed poetry all around me and have discovered it in myself.

I seek solace in doubt, I savor ambiguity, and find beauty in the unknown.
